There is something enchanting about a blank page. A new beginning - which may or may not be the scariest thing ever, depending on your perspective. While opening typing the first few words to potentially post on Motherville Magazine - my anxiety passed and a wave a excitement rushed over me. I love talking about motherhood. It's a journey unique to everyone, but we are united with one goal - to raise decent human beings (which clearly, there is a scarcity of these days).
So, let's get started. My name is Erin and I am the founder of Motherville. I started this blog for millennial mothers like myself, but all are welcome. 10 years ago I became a mother. I quit my job, moved to a foreign country with an 8 month old, and I haven't looked back since. Life hits you hard, and no matter what anyone tells you - motherhood hits you harder.

Don't get me wrong, there is nothing more special than being a mother, but it's no cake walk. Interrupted sleep, making bottles or nursing all throughout the night, the crying, their first fever, the isolation, the overstimulation, the constant balance of motherhood and being a present partner in your relationship - phew I could go on, but I think you get my point.

While experiencing my first time in motherhood, I was in a big transition phase. My partner was traveling a lot for work which left me with a baby alone - thousands of miles from any family to lean on for support and like I said before, I quit my job to raise my son (that was hard). Writing became an outlet for me. Living in France, a fashion haven, I shopped and began my first blog - a fashion blog. That project soon morphed into a motherhood blog featuring myself and my first-born, CJ. Again, life happened and before I knew it, I had three kids, published 2 fiction novels, and was living all around Europe the past 10 years.

Now I am in America, back in the work field, and working on my 3rd fiction novel. I am a hobby enthusiast! I love puzzles, doing henna, making clay earrings, yoga, and writing - of course. Motherville is a blog that will cover style, relationships, mom hacks, travel, & more (basically everything). I have a few mama-friends that I love dearly and I look forward to introducing them soon. I hope that you find a comfortable space to grow in your motherhood and feel compelled to share your stories and your advice. Be sure to subscribe & join the 'ville - Motherville.
